cold again

All I can think about is sleeping. I just want to sleep and sleep. I think I'm getting a cold. Bleeeh.

The Supernatural team  are having our first Supernatural get together this Thursday to watch and squee over the J's. I hope this weeks episode will be better than last week. Last week was fine but I'm kind of over the bucketloads of angst and the general fighty/awkward relationship they've got going on now. I miss early SPN where it was all BFF, monsters of the week and fun times. Also Jared Padalecki didn't resemble Arnold Schwarzenegger. Not cool. Though we do have Misha now so that kind of makes up for it a bit.

I am an athiest and I just realised how many tv shows I love that  have all these death and religious themes. Supernatural, Buffy, Reaper, Angel, Pushing Daisies, Dead Like Me, Wonderfalls. What does that say about me?

summer has left the building......almost

I love summer and it's warm, clear, breakfast on the deck, blue sky days. Growing tomatoes in the garden, crunchy grass, t shirts and flip flops.  Long lazy days and balmy nights. I also love autumn. Or fall as they call it in this corner of the world. Rain and pumpkins. Trees that look like they are on fire with colour.  Wearing jackets and scarves and mittens again. My skin returns to it's normal milky hue. Dragging out the fuzzy blankets and hot chocolate with marshmallows.

Spent the last 4 days volunteering at the Supernatural convention. Yes. Jared and Jensen and Misha are as unbelievably, incredibly, ridiculously good looking in person as they are on tv. Intelligent, funny and witty too. Sigh. Had a great time. Didn't get to meet the J's but did end up on the autograph table with the Ghostfacer boys for 4 hours. Oh My God those boys are crazy. Like little boys poking and picking at each other. There was a lot of clowning around until the realisation that if continued they were going to be there all night occurred. Then there was still clowning around but slightly less. Misha Collins is very smart and terribly handsome. I'm so glad I was there for his turn on stage. He made a stink about the screened questions that he was going to be asked and insisted on taking live audience questions. He was fantastic - he had a few weird questions but handled them with ease and sarcasm. Some dumb girl asked him what he would do if he was in an accident next week and lost his legs and was horribly disfigured. WTF? He really put her in her place. Nicely and with humour but his answer was hilarious. He has has the comebacks so quickly. I wish I was witty like that.  Jared and Jensen were great on stage too. In fact I don't think there was anyone who wasn't great. It was a lot of work. A lot more that the Stargate convention. That was a breeze. This was a gale force wind. But I think it was worth it. Had fun and got to see all the stuff. Didn't get any goodies this time which was a bit of a bummer. But had a good time (and nothing else to do this weekend). No job as of yet but hopefully something will come up this week. 

Am totally in the mood for watching Supernatural now so I picked up some dvd's from the library for a marathon. Woooo!  Just relaxing now after too much hard work and lack of sleep. Trying to figure out how to put a youtube video on here as well. Found a good one for Castiel done to Halo.

anchorage

There's not a whole lot to do in Anchorage. I would recommend against spending more than two days there. Especially as the hostels are not that great. The one on Eagle St is not so bad. Though the kitchen is a bit sketch and strange stoner type guys will try to chat you up and the old guy who pretty much lives at the hostel and thinks he runs the place will try to offer you tea and talk about controversial topics and conspiracy theories (there's always one in every backpackers). But it's way, way better than the International Youth Hostel on H St which is nasty! I've stayed in some pretty blah hostels and this one was way up there with the worst. Lost my reservation, dirty, weird smells, yucky bathrooms and they lock you out for the day between 10 and 4! What if you need to get at your stuff??? Plus none of the doors have locks on them and there are shifty looking people hanging about in front a lot.  No thanks. Will not be returning there.  

So there's not too much to do in Anchorage. Just hiking up Flat Top, the weekend market and looking in the shops on 4th and 5th Streets. I spent a lot of time hanging out in Title Wave Books. That was kind of nice actually. Also taking random pictures of flowers and such.

Weird stuff for today. 

Just one of the many, many reasons you should never, ever sit on the public toilet seat. I mean who does that? It's all about the hovering, people!

Also why do porno women keep trying to follow me on twitter? Disturbing.
