Suzy is now finally an car owner! Do I feel more independant, grown up and all together like I want to spend hours flying along the freeway to nowhere? Not particularly. I just feel poor. But I can now, in conversations about the exorbitant prices of petrol, heartily agree and commiserate.
"Yes I went for 2 weeks on my last tank! And filled up at .92 cents! Bargain"
It needs to go back to the dealer on Monday though for the day to get an engine sensor thingie replaced (which they'll do for free as it's under warranty and if they didn't then I would commit angry violence on them 'til they did). This is why in some ways it's pain that cars are now more full of computery bits and pieces than your pc as there's so much more that can go wrong than when a car was just a box with wheels and an engine that made it go. I kinda like my old-new car though. It drives nice, the seat is always in the same place that I left it and I don't have to take my P's down. Has a funny smell though. Too much sweet stinking cleaning junk so I'll be driving along with the windows open for a while I think.
